ProTrain offers full hands on licencing workshops in the following streams of pest management.
- Non-timber Pest
- Timber pest
- Fumigation
- Sensitive & Complex Sites
The workshops consists of a mix of theory and practical assessments for which students must achieve competency in all assessments to be considered competent.
All ProTrain workshops are facilitated and delivered by currently qualified and active pest managers with a minimum of 20 years hands on experience in pest management.
Workshops are usually run over a 5 day period and consist of a good mix of:
- Class room sessions – pest biology, identification, inspection considerations, management methods and agents, report requirements
- Field training – real world job simulations, inspection, set up , carry out tasks, restore work sites
- Hands on Identifications including insect, habits, workings, scats, threat, management options (chemical and non-chemical)
