Selling

Welcome the the Camilleri Injection System Information Page
The Camilleri Underslab Injection System has been developed and uses a Quality Management System.
One part of this system is the development of an "Accreditation Course" for installers and maintainers of the system. All Camilleri Underslab Injection System licensees must attend the accreditation course and demonstrate competency in installing the system. Accreditation will then be provided to facilitate purchase of the product components.

To become accredited each licensee must comply with the following:
1. Attend a Camilleri Accreditation Course and demonstrate competency.
2. Only allow Pest Management Technicians to install and maintain the system.
3. Ensure that installations of the Camilleri Underslab Injection system under their licence are completed according to the Installer's Manual.
4. Use brochures and DVD provided by CUSIS for consumer information.
5. Purchase Camilleri Reticulation System parts and accessories from a recognized quality distributor. Garrards P/L is the exclusive distributor for the Camilleri Underslab Injection System.
This course will cover both Total Underslab and Perimeter Installations.

For all course inquiries contact Phil Sayer at Garrards Head Office or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to send an E-mail to Phil.

Specialists in Vector Control Products and EquipmentChopper_RD.jpg Garrards Vector Control

This page is dedicated to the exciting world of Vector Control. "Vector" Insects include disease spreading insects such as Mosquitoes, Biting Midge, Flies etc.

Most Vector Control work is undertaken by Local Authorities but others such as the Defence Forces, Government Departments and Consumer Organizations also take on some this work.

Adult insects are often targeted by using Thermal Foggers or ULV Aerosol Application Machines; whilst Larval stages are controlled using aircraft or standard spraying equipment.

This is a highly organized and professional field and Garrards are proud to be members of various Mosquito and Local Government Associations.

Following is a brief outline of some of our stock lines in this industry. Please note that this listing is not yet complete - more products will be added.

Larvicides
Vectobac 12AS ProductVectobac 12AS

Based on the naturally occurring bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis, Vectobac 12AS has become one of the mainstays in the Vector Control Industry.

The product can be applied both aerially and by ground equipment. The average micron size of the droplet (2-10 microns) makes it ideal for the ingestion by the target insect. This product is also target-specific, that is, other more beneficial organisms are not effected by accidental ingestion.

Applied to first and early fourth instar mosquito larvae, Vectobac 12AS provides effective control by destroying the target insect's gut wall. Paralysis and death follows.

Available in 2 x 10L packs and 200L drums.

Vectobac G ProductVectobac G

Vectobac G is also based on the naturally occurring bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis. The corn-cob base allows for greater canopy penetration and less product "drift" than with lighter products such as the liquid formulation of Vectobac.

This is especially useful in mangrove type situations, where canopy penetration can be difficult to achieve. The Granule formulation also has a slightly longer shelf life than its liquid conterpart, allowing for longer storage time.

The granules can be applied by fixed wing aircraft or by ground application equipment. Some trials are currently underway to ascertain the efficacy of application by helicopters.

The mode of action is the same as the liquid variant, that is, the target insect's gut wall is destroyed, causing paralysis and death.

Vectobac G is currently only availbale in an 18Kg bag.

Vectobac WDG ProductVectobac WDG

As with the other two products in the Vectobac range, Bacillus thuringiensis is the base of this, the newest product in the Vector Control range.

The Water Dispersible Granule (WDG) formulation has the longest storage life of any of the larvicides, making it the ideal product for those situated in warm or hot situations. Unlike the liquid varieties, it is not essential to keep the product under 25 degrees C, eliminating the need for refrigerated storage.

Applied aerially or by ground equipment, Vectobac WDG is available in 5 or 25Kg containers.

Aqua K-Othrine® from Envu is a space spray concentrate containing 2% deltamethrin.

Deltamethrin is a highly active pyrethroid insecticide which will effectively flush insects out of their hiding places and kill through direct contact. Due to the high activity of deltamethrin Aqua K-Othrine® can be applied at extremely low dose rates of 0.5 - 1.0 g/ha of active ingredient to control public health insect pests including vectors of disease as well as nuisance flies and mosquitoes.

Aqua K-Othrine® utilises a unique patented anti-evaporant technology which makes it easy and
convenient to use with reduced irritancy, odour and environmental impact.

Patented Aqua Technology

Aqua K-Othrine® formulation is based on water and this highlitghts the specific benefits of the formulation. The Film Forming Aqueous Spray Technology (FFAST) is a unique patented formulation system which allows the use of water as the diluent without the normal
drawbacks of evaporation. The principle behind FFAST is simple yet extremely effective.

As each droplet is formed, long chain alcohol molecules rapidly migrate to the surface where they align to form a protective skin. This gives a sealed package of water-based insecticide, thereby retarding evaporation and greatly extending the effective range
of the spray.

The key result of this is that Aqua K-Othrine® provides long-lasting effective droplets in all climatic conditions and is as effective as oil/diesel diluted space spray concentrates when sprayed at equivalent active ingredient rates. Aqua K-Othrine® is easy to use, a user friendly concentrate producing a space spray that minimises flammability, smell, staining, paintwork damage, toxicological risk and pollution.

Water - the natural diluent

Water is the natural choice for the diluent of space sprays, particularly in the light of increased concern about the use of diesel. However, water-dilutable emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulations may give poorer insecticidal performance in comparison with diesel or oil-diluted products. This is due to evaporation of water (which is more volatile than diesel) from the spray, leaving droplets which are too small for efficient impaction on the insect.

By using water as the main solvent, as well as the diluent, Aqua K-Othrine® can offer a number of specific benefits to the user. Aqua K-Othrine® is clean, easy to handle concentrate which is completely acceptable in use since it has virtually no odour. The water-based formulation eliminates the risk of fire, as well as reducing paint spotting and staining.

Water is the natural choice for the diluent because it is readily available and offers genuine cost savings to the user compared with oil or diesel diluents.

The image above shows iGEBA equipment at work. iGEBA machines work well with Aqua-K-Othrine world wide. Please contact us for further information

Application

Aqua K-Othrine® is multi-functional in terms of application. Primarily, it has been designed for Ultra Low Volume (ULV) use but is also ideal for thermal fogging. Aqua K-Othrine® can be used for large scale conventional outdoor spraying as well as for indoor use.

For outdoor ULV spraying Aqua K-Othrine® should be diluted with water and applied using any ULV machine capable of producing droplets with a volume median diameter (VMD) in the range of 15-25 microns. The product may also be applied through hand held thermal foggers for control of mosquitoes.

In case of indoor treatments, remove all pets and foodstuffs from the room and cover all surfaces used for food preparation. Turn off the electricity and extinguish
all naked flames.
