Liphatech Announce Two NEW Products

MAKI® BLOCK WRAPPED - Would you like it wrapped?

After MAKI® BLOCK in 2008, 2009 has seen the arrival of Liphatech's new rodent bait: MAKI® BLOCK WRAPPED+™. The new concept developed by Liphatech R&D team has been tested successfully over the past few months in Australia.

The main features of MAKI® BLOCK WRAPPED+™ are:

  • Individually packaged, the bait stays fresh for longer
  • The block is better protected, less crumbly.
  • It is a no-touch concept whereby the technician has got no direct contact with the actual block bait.
  • The sachet creates a physical barrier preventing pests such as slugs, snails and various insects accessing the bait, thereby protecting the integrity of the bait until there is consumption by rodents.

Many pest control technicians have issues with slugs, snails or even cockroaches damaging and eating the baits inside the stations. Most of the time the baits are completely destroyed before rodents even get access to them. Also the droppings resulting from bait consumption by slugs or cockroaches render the stations dirty and this is often not acceptable on audited sites. Technicians spend a lot of time replacing the ineffective baits and cleaning the stations.

Some companies have even implemented a method to prevent attacks from slugs: they re-bag blocks individually into zip-lock bags. It does deter slugs from eating the bait but appears to be very labour-intensive and cost-prohibitive.

Liphatech now offers its customers a ready-to-use solution: MAKI® BLOCK WRAPPED+™. The new bait will reduce significantly attacks from unwanted pests as well as maximise the effects on rodents. This will result in a number of benefits for PCOs:

  • Longer protection: the bait will be available for rodents when they are active.
  • No mess: slugs, snails and cockroaches will not damage the bait because of the physical barrier created by the plastic wrapping. Stations will stay cleaner than with normal unwrapped baits.
  • Time-saving: an economical ready-to-use product. No need to re-bag the blocks one by one, no need to remove the sachet (rodents will chew through it).

Liphatech launches the new fast & flexible Aegis-RP

"The new Aegis-RP will bring PCOs with greater convenience and greater robustness" Jerome Beline, Liphatech Business Manager said.

Tested with various customers during the end of 2008, the Aegis-RP will come as a replacement to the Aegis Mini.

The Mini has been highly successful over the past ten years and those customers already using it will find in the Aegis-RP a number of improvements such as:

  • A sturdy construction for a longer field life
  • A sleeker, more professional design
  • An improved locking mechanism
  • Rounded corners for ease-of-clean

All those new features are part of raising the already-high quality standards of the Aegis stations. Plus the Aegis-RP contains all the key attributes that made the success of the Aegis Mini:

  • Versatile. It can accommodate bait as well as a rat trap.
  • Its straight-through design is preferred by rodents
  • The mechanical hinges give it a longer field life.
  • The lid opens away from the wall for faster servicing.

In those tough economic times the Aegis-RP should be the preferred choice for those willing to spend less time on the job and increase their profitability.
