Maki Blocks Now Available

Liphatech has just launched its new rodent bait MAKI Block. The product is now available for sale from all Garrards branches in Australia. With excellent performance in terms of weather- and mould-resistance, combined with an attractive and palatable bait matrix, Maki Block will give you prolonged action and high efficacy results.

Maki Block, what are the key attributes?

Maki Block is a 20g block containing bromadiolone. Delivered through a unique extrusion process, it is both weather-resistant and palatable. The product comes in a 7.5 kg bucket.

High weather- and mould-resistance
Maki Block has been tested in harsh conditions in a dairy factory (15°C, 87% humidity). The hygrometric conditions were steady for the duration of the trial, ie over 3 months. It was observed that at the end of the trial Maki Block was free of any mould or other degradation. On the contrary, the reference product which was tested against Maki showed sign of mould after 36 days and was completely damaged after 3 months.

Strong palatability and efficacy

Liphatech, inventor of bromadiolone
Maki Block contains the active ingredient bromadiolone which has been developed and patented by Liphatech in 1976. It has been used for a number of years across the world, including Australia. Bromadiolone is a single-feed anticoagulant which is very effective both on rats and mice. Associated with the right bait matrix, it is an excellent active ingredient for maintenance jobs.

Maki Block, when should pest managers use it?
Maki is best used for all your maintenance / contract jobs. Its long-lasting performance does give you peace of mind when there is low rodent activity while its palatable block formulation will secure good control when rodents are present.
Maki Block is ideal for use in those jobs that are only serviced on a monthly- or even a quarterly-basis.
It is also well-suited for places presenting harsh weather conditions, be it dampness or hot weather.
