Truly effective control and management of termites requires an in-depth understanding of the termite’s behaviour and social structure, and the ability to utilise those behaviours and social structures against the termites themselves.

Designed for both internal and external use, the Sentricon II Termite Bait contains a highly palatable and flexible cellulose based food substrate impregnated with an active ingredient called Hexaflumuron.

Hexaflumuron, a chitin synthesis inhibitor, inhibits the termites’ ability to produce chitin (skin substance). As worker termites feed on the bait material, they transfer the Hexaflumuron throughout the entire colony via a process known as ‘trophallaxis’. Termites shed their skin (moult) a number of times throughout their lives as they grow or as their skin is damaged. When they next moult, the exposure to Hexaflumuron renders them unable to produce chitin. Consequently they die, leading to the elimination of the entire colony.

Easy to live with.

With small Sentricon stations placed discreetly around the home, the Sentricon system is less of an aggravation than traditional liquid chemical treatments:

•No drilling in floors and foundations
•No digging or trenching
•No chemical solution injected in the ground under and around a home
•No tank trucks of chemical solution
•No scheduling hassles

Environmentally responsible.
The Sentricon system was developed with a green mentality. In contrast to liquid chemical treatments, which use hundreds of gallons of chemical solution, the Sentricon system uses only a few grams of active ingredient when and where needed to wipe out the colony. Sentricon AG can be placed where active termites are found and when colony elimination is achieved, they are removed. Likewise, Sentricon IG Termite Bait is only there when you need it and then Sentricon IG stations and your professional pest manager provide ongoing monitoring for new termite attacks.

Manufacturer commitment.
With its extensive termite and entomology expertise, Dow AgroSciences proudly offers the most advanced pest management technology. Dow AgroSciences is a global leader in pest management solutions.

So rest easy. When you notice a Sentricon station under a bush or next to the deck, or when you see your professional pest manager montioring for termite activity, you know termite concerns are a thing of the past. With continued service, the Sentricon system will stay on guard to protect the value of your home.

SENTRICON TERMITE SYSTEM COMPONENTS
AG Termite Bait Above Ground (AG) Termite Bait - can be used in conjunction with the In Ground (IG) Bait ie placed on top once termite activity is detected, or placed directly on leads on frames, posts, fences etc.
Station Top Cap Top Cap for Station - once monitors or bait is placed inside, this cap prevents outside disturbance. The cap also features a child safe lock for added security and safety.
Station Soil Cover Soil Cover for Station - makes staion visible and redused the risk of predatory attack of the station.
Extractor Monitor Extractor - allows installer to set, inspect and replace monitoring blocks.
IG Termite Bait In Ground (IG) Termite Bait - once activity is discivered in the IG station, the bait is unwrapped, placed in a sugar water or similar solution, coverted to paste and placed back inside the IG station.
IG Station In Ground (IG) Station - installed to monitor and bait termite infestations, and to detect the presence of termites in an area.
Top Cap/Key Station Top Cap Key - used to lock the Station Top Cap into place and also used to gently remove the monitors for inspection by using the hook at one end.
Monitoring Devices Monitoring Devices - each station used as a monitor requires a pair of monitors. These attract the termites and encourage them to feed in the station so that bait may be introduced.
