Termidor Liquid Termiticide

TERMIDOR is applied as a treatment to the soil surrounding existing structures. Traditionally these types of applications are referred to as chemical barriers, although in the case of Termidor, the chemical does not act in the same way as many older chemicals. Rather than a barrier that repels termites, Termidor acts as a non-repellent treated zone, which allows termites to enter and therefore more efficiently killed.
In 2000 an alternative dust product to arsenic trioxide was introduced to the Australian market. The active ingredient was a chitin synthesis inhibitor (CSI), which acts to disrupt the moulting process in termites. However, being an IGR (insect growth regulator), the time taken to eliminate termite activity can be up to 12-18 months.
This is the same story for baiting systems.
While a fast acting toxicant is not necessarily the desired outcome (termites may die before returning to the nest), rate of termite elimination is important to consumers and the integrity of Pest Control Operators who are charging for the service. A lag time of 2-4 weeks from time of treatment to elimination of termite activity is the optimum.
The pest control industry has been searching for a product to be brought to market that was more effective than arsenic trioxide or IGR’s.
The search is over, as BASF introduces Termidor® Dust.
Amdro Granular Ant Bait
AMDRO Granular Ant Bait is a slowacting poison which is especially effective against the queen ant. Worker ants will find the bait granules, carry them back to the nest and pass them along to the queen and other nestmates. Typically, in 14 weeks, the queen and a number of ants are killed and a visible reduction in activity results.
AMDRO incorporates a bait that is attractive to specific ants only. Correct ant identification will help to ensure best results from AMDRO.
Fendona 15SC Insecticide
FENDONA is a potent, broad spectrum synthetic pyrethroid insecticide effective against a wide range of pests in domestic, industrial and public health situations.
A pyrethroid insecticide in a water based formulation.
Rapid knockdown and very good residual activity.
Controls certain strains resistant to organophosphorus compounds.
FENDONA 15 SC Insecticide controls insects by contact action and ingestion. When applied as a surface spray, the product offers long residual activity.
FENDONA is of relatively low toxicity to humans and other mammals and is suitable for use in domestic and public areas.
Goliath Cockroach Gel
han any other cockroach gel. Provides ongoing control due to a stable formulation and highly palatable gel formulation.
To apply the gel, remove the cap on the nozzle and touch the tip to the surface to be treated and depress plunger slightly. Recap the dispenser after treatment is completed and return cartridge to the outer pack. Re-apply according to remaining level of infestation, when bait is no longer visibly present. A visual inspection of gel placements is recommended one month after initial treatment.
STRATAGEM is a ready to use rodenticide for control of rats and mice in and around buildings which kills in a single feed.
STRATAGEM is registered for use by Licensed Pest Control Operators in and around industrial and domestic premises and is ideal for use in bait boxes. STRATAGEM should be placed in areas frequented by pests, with access to other food stuffs minimised. Baits should be replaced as required.
STRATAGEM can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Rats and mice that are resistant to warfarin are controlled and no prebaiting is required. A lethal dose is readily consumed in a single feed but death may not occur for up to seven days.
