Pelgar

PelGar International manufactures and markets rodenticide baits made with the three key active ingredients: bromadiolone, brodifacoum and difenacoum. While bromadiolone and brodifacoum are commonplace in Australia, the Roban range, based on the active difenacoum, brings something quite unique to the marketplace. Difenacoum has a distinctive toxicity profile which results in it being more than twice as effective on mice – when compared to bromadiolone baits – while being considerably less toxic to non-target animals such as dogs and birds.

Since it was founded in 1995, PelGar has come a long way. Established with the aim of producing effective and efficient rodenticide and insecticide formulations for the global public health market, PelGar has capitalised on the expertise of its two directors. Dr Gareth Capel-Williams and Dr Jonathan Wade have amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience the world over in government organisations and well-known multinational companies. As a key player in the global market PelGar has invested heavily in R&D and its manufacturing capability to ensure the continued development of new and novel formulations and it sets itself high standards of quality control.
